Wow

I have to say, it's amazing how much time you don't have suddenly when you go back to full time employment. I must make it my mission to complete next week's Sweet Sketch Wednesday. There is not point in me trying to commit to this weeks as I won't be around at the weekend.

Forever Friends Fortnightly Challenge

I stumbled across this challenge whilst looking at papercraft inspirations facebook page this morning. Yes, another challenge!! But actually this one ties in quite nicely with a few cards I've already made.

The theme for this fortnightly challenge, is 'one for the boys'. And here's the card I would like to submit. I've combined some patriotic papermania 'portobello road' papers with 'the best of british' forever friends topper, and I actually made this one with Father's Day in mind, and the greeting inside the card reads 'Happy Father's Day' -definitely one for the boys!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday #156

Okay, this is my second attempt, but I'm putting it down as the first as I'm a bit thick and couldn't figure out the whole inlinkz thing. Anyway...

I used some papers that I bought when I first started crafting and don't seem to have much use for these days. The stamped image is Meljen's, although the rules said you didn't have to use them. Once I'd had a look at their website I couldn't resist adding a few to my basket!! The ribbon I decided co-ordinated nicely with the little tie on the giraffe. What do you think?

Sweet Sketch Wednesday

Don't panic. I know it's not Wednesday, just yet. But I've started this challenge, inspired by my cousin Sharon.

This weeks challenge (a new one is set every Wednesday) was this little template;

And this is my exhibit;

Not bad for a first attempt. I hope... Apologies about the rubbish cutting out of my stamped image though!! I think it was originally meant for something else. The patterned papers are all scraps from a stack I had free with a papercrafting magazine, as well as the stamped image itself. The little flowers are from a docrafts goody bag, I think they're Anita's.

So this is my first foray into the world of competitive crafting. Hopefully it'll be relatively successful. Let me know what you think?
