I've moved home!!

Hiya guys,

There are several reasons behind it, one of them being it's easier to update from there as I already have another blog under the same log in...

I'll move some of my posts over once I get around to it, but I hope some of my crafty friends will follow me over ;)

Sweet Sketch Wednesday #168-121

My latest offering for http://sweetsketchwednesday.blogspot.co.uk/ I went a bit wrong with the ribbon :( But it was my first attempt for ages!

Apologies

again, for not being around lately. It seems just as I was getting back into crafting after being ill for a long period of time, I suddenly find myself either with no time to do it, or feeling so ill again that I don't have the energy :(

Wow

I have to say, it's amazing how much time you don't have suddenly when you go back to full time employment. I must make it my mission to complete next week's Sweet Sketch Wednesday. There is not point in me trying to commit to this weeks as I won't be around at the weekend.

Forever Friends Fortnightly Challenge

I stumbled across this challenge whilst looking at papercraft inspirations facebook page this morning. Yes, another challenge!! But actually this one ties in quite nicely with a few cards I've already made.

The theme for this fortnightly challenge, is 'one for the boys'. And here's the card I would like to submit. I've combined some patriotic papermania 'portobello road' papers with 'the best of british' forever friends topper, and I actually made this one with Father's Day in mind, and the greeting inside the card reads 'Happy Father's Day' -definitely one for the boys!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday #156

Okay, this is my second attempt, but I'm putting it down as the first as I'm a bit thick and couldn't figure out the whole inlinkz thing. Anyway...

This week's 'Sweet Sketch Wednesday' sketch is:

And here's my little design.

I used some papers that I bought when I first started crafting and don't seem to have much use for these days. The stamped image is Meljen's, although the rules said you didn't have to use them. Once I'd had a look at their website I couldn't resist adding a few to my basket!! The ribbon I decided co-ordinated nicely with the little tie on the giraffe. What do you think?

Sweet Sketch Wednesday

Don't panic. I know it's not Wednesday, just yet. But I've started this challenge, inspired by my cousin Sharon.

This weeks challenge (a new one is set every Wednesday) was this little template;

And this is my exhibit;

Not bad for a first attempt. I hope... Apologies about the rubbish cutting out of my stamped image though!! I think it was originally meant for something else. The patterned papers are all scraps from a stack I had free with a papercrafting magazine, as well as the stamped image itself. The little flowers are from a docrafts goody bag, I think they're Anita's.

So this is my first foray into the world of competitive crafting. Hopefully it'll be relatively successful. Let me know what you think?

Fathers Day

Just thought I'd share these two quickly. Only made them this morning.

Biscuit Cards

Cake cards are so last year.... haha!

I particularly liked the Jammie dodgers. These were fairly easy to make and can be easily customised for different tastes.

Kid's Cards

I don't normally make children's cards, but these are for specific family birthdays. They were cute and easy to make and can easily be customised for different ages. Giraffes, Pandas and other animals are also available :)

Father's Day Cards

Everyone loves Meerkats. Don't they? Customised cards also available, please contact me for details.

Wedding Cards

Now I don't know of anyone getting married. But if you do, please let me know. I found these papers in a past craft magazine and had to use them!

Can't believe I haven't posted in so long. Massive apologies! Blog will definitely be updated today as I've been busy ....

I went to a craft show in London yesterday, and whilst there wasn't much papercrafting stuff there, I still managed to spend a fair bit...

I bought some dies for my die cutting machine which I purchased a few weeks ago, some much needed card blanks and envelopes, and a few bits and bobs.

I took my Mum and Aunty for Mother's Day so the main purpose was for them to buy stuff.lol

They had a go at a quilting demonstration (making squares for a signature quilt for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee) and somehow managed to rope me in to having a go too.

I may now be a sewing machine convert... and kind of want to try some stuff out!

18th

This is an as yet unfinished card that I'm making for a relative of my work colleague's. Her sister's son is disabled, he loves football and cardiff city, hence the colours, I feel it needs a border of sorts and some more embellishments, but I'm taking it in to work tomorrow for her inspection so far...

Female Birthday card

I've been finding lots of random papers lately that I haven't used, these were supposedly valentine's ones, 'love birds' I think the range was called, but I used them to make a birthday card for my friend Charlotte.

This is a card that I made for one of my best friend's from school who has just had a baby daughter.
